In what is beginning to feel like another life-time (15+ years ago) I went through a phase where I did more writing than painting or drawing. While in High School alone I wrote over 100 poems. Ahh. . .teen angst.
I also wrote some short stories I later threw out. Stupid teenager! During those turbulent years I told myself I would write a novel when the time was right. Since then I focused on reading and of course, my art. I lost myself in book after book, knowing one day the time would come to write my own. The time arrived in late April of this year.
In between working on my novel I’ve also been writing short stories. It’s as if the flood gates have opened! Writing is a journey. I have a lot to learn, but hope one day I might call myself an author.
You can occasionally find out what I'm writing on my blog: http://amandamakepeace.blogspot.com/. You'll also find book reviews and news from my studio, all in the same place.
