I’m beginning to learn the difference between the art I create because I find an arrangement alluring and the art I create that makes my soul sing. On one hand, I have the art of observation and on the other, I have the art of imagination. Space art has always thrilled me. Astronomy was one of those random courses at university that I took, but it wasn’t a requirement of my degree. I love science and science fiction. I was the kid at school with a cousin who worked for NASA, on the Hubble project no less. In the seventh grade I built a rockets for the Astronomy Club and as an adult I painted Starscapes.
Due to an unfortunate event I’d forgotten how much I loved space art. I turned away from it because it hurt. The hurt has faded and somehow, either by fate or maybe a high power, I’ve wandered back to the stars.
The Jupiter Event was created in Mandelbulb 3D. Prints available at RedBubble.
