Today (and tomorrow) I’m spending a huge chunk of my time at WriteOnCon, the online writing convention for writers of children’s literature. That includes YA literature. I read as much YA literature as I do Adult, so it doesn’t surprise me when YA characters pop up in my own writing. I live with one too!
Many writers come to WriteOnCon from the comfort of their pj’s and recliners hoping to catch the attention of an agent. Yes, like agents (and even best-selling authors) are in attendance. I don’t have a manuscript to submit, but WriteOnCon is about more than snagging an agent. The convention is full of valuable information.
Here are a few of my favorite “talks” so far:
Mental Revision by author Bret Ballou
Sustaining the Writer Groove by author Veronica Rossi
Hooks and Killer First Lines by Author Lissa Price
The day isn’t over! Thursday I’ll share a run down of all of my favorites and some tidbits I took away from the convention.

GO GO GO!
I am!! You should see all the notes I’ve taken.
