Seventeen-year-old Connor Lewis is chased by a memory. On his first day of kindergarten he bit a boy hard enough to scar the kid for life. Since then he’s been a social outcast at a New York private school.
Through an unexpected turn of good fortune, he lands a scholarship to study in Paris, where everything starts to look up. On the first day he befriends two military brats, and he may finally get a taste of what it’s like to be a normal teenager.
It doesn’t last. (via Goodreads)
Original, Urban Fantasy with a Science Fiction appeal and on top of it all, a YA novel with more than a romance plot. Loved it!! This was one of those books that kept me up at night. Could. Not. Stop. Reading.
Above is my mini review from Goodreads. I finished reading The Night has Teeth around 11:30 p.m. last night. The night before I’d been up past 2 a.m. glued to my Kindle! When I can push myself to stay up into the wee hours of the morning, you know it I’m reading something stellar.
It’s a given most YA novels will have romance. Think about when you were a teenager. Exactly. But too many novels are beginning to focus on just the romance. Kruger’s novel is full of science, history, werewolves, Paris cemeteries, with just a pinch of romance. Another point goes to Kruger for keeping me stumped till the very end. I don’t want to give the story away, but there is a mystery involved in this werewolf story. I was close to solving it, but not close enough. When she reveals it near the very end I’m blown away!
