A blog full of words

Words. Words. And more words. If you love words, as I do, then you should take a look at this blog on Tumblr – Other Wordly. If you’re on Pinterest there’s a chance you may have already seen some of their posts. These are a few of my favorites, the ones that speak to me.

Waldeinsamkeit

Petrichor

Nemophilist

Other Wordly has one of the best archives I’ve seen. Everything is by month with a thumbnail so you can see the words. It’s the best way to browse all of their posts.

  1. Annie says:

I love words and phrases and collect them in a journal. My latest is “craquelure”. It means the tiny cracks that appear in the surface of old paintings. Just read it in the book “The Art Forger”.
I love the one you posted above about feeling at one in the woods. That’s got to be German, right?

  2. I think I have three new favorite words! I never knew there was a word for any of those things.
