That was Philippa Ballantine and I freaking out on Twitter a few days ago. Kindred and Wings is not out till August, but the ARC is here and I am reading! This is the second book in her Shifted World series. Read the review of Hunter and Fox, the first book, from last year.

I don’t want to spoil anything for those who haven’t read the first book, so I’m only going to offer this measly teaser for Kindred and Wings:

Dragons and myths will be reborn, as the Hunter and her Fox face each other once more.

I’ll be posting a review closer to the release date; which should give you plenty of time go buy a copy of Hunter and Fox  and read it!! :D

I use to sketch every day, especially as a young artist, before I began painting. Somewhere along the way I all but stopped. The only drawing I did was in relation to what I was going to paint.

I’ve been taking about 15-20 minutes each morning to scribble something in ArtRage. Sometimes I get inspired and my sketch becomes more of a drawing. But most of the time I just try to work something out fast, with little thought–just letting creativity take what ever course it chooses.

I’m not ashamed to admit I buy a lot of digital comics, but there area always comics that I want printed copies of too. I have zero issue buying both. However, for the last few years I’ve lived in Watksinville/Athens I’ve not had a local comic shop. I’ve been buying comics from the shops of my teen years in Metro ATL when ever I happened to be that area.

Well. No more. MR. Comic Shop opened its doors in downtown Watkinsville on April 3rd and the owner says business has been steady. WooHoo!
