ARTFLAKES is a Berlin based company selling prints, posters and canvas prints from artists around the world. What am I selling on ArtFlakes?

You’ll find many of my acrylic paintings of pebbles, as well as a selection from my pen and ink drawings, as well as some watercolors. I’ll be adding more watercolors as I complete my new series.

In December I signed up for a Watercolor Sketching Workshop through Strathmore Online Workshops (yes, the same Strathmore that makes the papers I use). The workshop is free and being taught by a fellow EBSQ member Cathy Johnson, who also happens to be an amazing watercolor artist. When I found out the workshop was free, I couldn’t resist signing up! The class doesn’t begin until March 1 but Cathy has the supply list posted already–it’s a long list. Many of the supplies I have but there were a few I needed to track down, for example, a Niji Waterbrush. I’ve never used a waterbrush but I’m familiar with what they do. I think this workshop will help me expand as a watercolor painter. I can’t wait!

February’s art cards for my IndieGoGo subscribers may look more complex than January’s, but they are still quite simple paintings and therefore less taxing on my hands. Each ACEO portrays a full moon wrapped in waves of organic swirling clouds. The first batch of cards will be in the mail tomorrow!

I don’t have a timetable on when these will be complete. I’m still needing to take breaks when I use my hands, but at least I’m painting again, even if the process is slower than usual. The top left image will be Pieces of my Past and the bottom right, Awakenings. Both will be watercolors but I will be incorporating a little pen and maybe a little gouache too.
